About Me

Rod Shields started his career in radio at the age of 17 interning at 106 KMEL. His skills in graffiti writing and guerilla marketing made him a must have addition to the station out on the streets. Rod Shields later began training interns on making an effective presence in the public, and worked as the Assistant Street Team Director for Talk 910 AM KNEW, 960AM The Quake (now Green 960AM), and KKSF 103.7 FM.

As a DJ Rod Shields began to experiment with sound recording, which lead to his next step in radio. He quickly picked up the skills to become a Board Operator for both AM stations in the San Francisco, Clear Channel building. But that wasn't enough for him, he learned how to write copy, and produce spots. This got Rod Shields noticed and he later began producing The Best of Will(Durst) & Willy(Brown) Show for 960, and became editor for The Savage Nation on KNEW. Currently Rod Shields is in school majoring in Computer Science while working at KCRH 89.9 FM as an On Air DJ.
